Set-up Profstep license

How it Works?

Once you purchase an extension, you need to create an appropriate license to be able to use it for your website. Each license can be assigned for 2 environment domains:

  • Sandbox domain (where the development process is performed)
  • Production domain (live server instance)

All the licenses are managed from the Profstep website.

All the created licenses are listed in the Products tab in the customer area under the Access Key section:

Click on the “Create New Access Key” in order to create a new license. The following popup will be shown then:

License Page

Once license is created, you’ll be able to enter the license page which contains the following sections:

  • Associated domains
  • License Key
  • Composer Keys
  • Assigned Extensions

License Key

This key is used for the extensions activation and cannot be changed.

Composer Keys

Special composer keys can be created for license by clicking on the “Generate Keys” button. These keys are used to download extension from the Composer repo

Assigned Extensions

All the purchased extensions should be assigned for license in this section. Click on the “Assign Extension” in order to do this.

When the license is successfully created and extensions are assigned, follow the next steps in order to create a new license and assign extensions:

Activate Extensions

Once needed extensions are installed with the Core module, they should be activated in the admin panel

License Configuration

License configuration can be found in the Stores -> Configuration under the PROFSTEP tab

Here you can track your purchased packages with the version and validity status
