How to use

An extension allows merchants to add the FAQ product tab on the product page. Separate FAQ page where customers can find a curated collection of answers to the most commonly asked questions about your products, services, policies, and more.

FAQ Product Tab

It’s a section for FAQ questions about specific products. Customers can view and rate answers or answer a question.

The “Ask a Question Form” is a functionality that allow customers to submit questions and seek personalized assistance.

The FAQ (Frequently Asked Questions) Page on a website developed to provide informative answers to common queries that customers or visitors may have.

An FAQ category is a logical grouping or folder that organizes related questions. It helps users navigate and locate information by providing a structured and categorized approach to the content. You can find questions assigned to the category with short answers in collapsible.

Questions

Questions are located in the Content ➔ FAQ ➔ FAQ Questions. To respond to the question, click on the Edit

Questions Management

Administrators can respond to user questions, categorize questions, and change meta information for the question page.

Statistics

You can see how many people looked at your question. There’s also a rating to show whether the question is helpful. Check here to know if your question is popular and good.

General

  • Question - question body.
  • URL Key - it’s a user-friendly and SEO-friendly string in the URL that represents the question
  • Full Answer - a detailed response that covers all aspects of the question
  • Short Answer - provides the most important information or solution to the question asked
  • Store Views - store views where the question will be displayed
  • Visibility - disable question visibility
  • Status - question status. Pending or answered
  • Position - sort order for questions.
  • Select Tags - keywords or labels that help identify the topic or theme of the question.

SEO image

  • Meta Title - main title used to summarize the question, which can be displayed in search engine results and browser tabs
  • Meta Description - a summary of a question’s content, often used to describe the question to search engines and readers in search results.
  • No Follow - directive given to search engines indicating that the link should not influence the search engine rankings of the destination URL.
  • No Index - instructs search engines not to include that specific question in their search results.

Products There’s a grid displaying all the products that have been assigned

Customer image

  • Customer Name - the name of the customer who asked the question
  • Customer Email - the email of the customer who asked the question

Categories

Category refers to grouping or classifying questions based on a specific topic or theme. Navigate to the Content ➔ FAQ ➔ FAQ Categories.

To add a new category, click on the “Add Category” button

General

  • Enabled - use to set Category as Active or Inactive
  • Category Title - a label that will appear
  • Icon - image used to represent the category visually
  • Position - sort order for category
  • URL Key - it’s a user-friendly and SEO-friendly string in the URL that represents the category
  • Store Views - category will be displayed in the chosen Store Views
  • Description - brief overview or summary of what topics or questions are covered within that specific FAQ category

How to configure

General

  • Link title - the title of a link that will appear in specified positions
  • Display in - positions to show the FAQ link.
  • Allow Questions share between Stores - If set to “Yes”, customers will be able to see questions answered from different stores
  • Show Read More Link - If set to “Yes”, customers will be able to see Read More link to the question page
  • Max Answer Length - maximum number of characters allowed for an answer in the FAQ section
  • HTML Suffix - URL suffix for FAQ categories and questions

FAQ Search

  • Min Search Length - minimum number of characters allowed for search
  • Max Search Length - maximum number of characters allowed for search
  • Show Max Categories In Search Results - maximum number of categories allowed to show in search results
  • Show Max Questions In Search Results - maximum number of questions allowed to show in search results

Ask a Question Form

  • Allow Not Logged In customers to ask questions - If set to “Yes”, not logged-in customers will be able to ask a question
  • Max Question Length - maximum number of characters allowed for question
  • Question Form Label - title for Question Form
  • Notify customer via email - If set to “Yes”, customers will be able to receive an email about question answer
  • Email Sender - customer notifications email the sender when a question has been answered
  • Email Template - email template to notify the customer via email when the question has been answered
  • No Question label - title for the FAQ tab if no available questions

FAQ Product Page

  • Enabled FAQ on Product Page - If set to “Yes”, customers will be able to see FAQ tab on the Product Page
  • FAQ Tab Name - title for the FAQ tab on the Product Page
  • FAQ Title Text - title for the FAQ Form
  • FAQ Tab Position - sort order for the FAQ tab on
  • Show Add a Question Button on FAQ Page - If set to “Yes”, customers can see “Ask a Question” form on the FAQ page
  • Show Empty Categories - If set to “Yes”, customers will be able
  • Max Questions to Show on Product Page - maximum number of questions to show on the Product Page
  • Short Answer behavior - displayed mode for Short Answer. Show Cut Answer will cut the full answer to specified characters. Show Short Answer will show a Show Answer specified in the Question Form

GDPR Consent

  • Enabled - If set to “Yes”, customers will be able to agree with the GDPR Consent
  • Consent - consent body. You can specify HTML-code here.
